American Youth Chorus is part of the nonprofit organization Congressional Chorus. Founded in 1987 by Congressional staffers who gathered on the Hill to sing during their lunch hour, Congressional Chorus has since grown to an organization of 80 singers from all walks of life. The mission of Congressional Chorus is to communicate the spirit, diversity, and power of American choral music.

 

Financial support from Congressional Chorus helps make American Youth Chorus possible and many Congressional Chorus singers volunteer with AYC.
