Feelin' Groovy: a 1960s Cabaret Lounge

……is the Congressional Chorus, founded in 1987 by Congressional staffers who gathered on the Hill to sing on their lunch hour. It has since grown to an organization of nearly 80 singers from all walks of life and has performed at the White House, U.S. Capitol Visitor Center, The John F. Kennedy Center, the Atlas Performing Arts Center and a range of other venues.

The chorus moved its operations to the Atlas Performing Arts Center in 2006. It rehearses there and often performs on Atlas stages with the AYC. The Congressional’s March cabarets at the Atlas have been sell-out successes and the group attracts growing audiences at each of its four performances per year. The Congressional continues to support the AYC financially and with volunteer assistance.
